Multi-pet profiles

Add dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, or other companions — up to 8 active pets. Optional photo via system Photo Picker; species emoji as default avatar.

Five task types

Feed, Walk, Groom, Clean, and Train — with daily, weekly, or custom weekday repeat rules and optional amounts or durations.

Today timeline

See combined “All pets” view or filter by pet. Mark done, skip today, and track progress without opening a calendar maze.

Care log & CSV export

Review completed care history and export logs via the Android Storage Access Framework when you want a personal backup copy.

Local reminders

Optional task reminders with lead time and quiet hours (22:00–07:00). Requires notification permission when enabled.

Offline by design

No INTERNET permission in V1.0. Pet profiles, tasks, occurrences, and logs stay in local JSON files on your device.

What PetDay Is — and Is Not

PetDay Care Planner is a scheduling helper for household pet care. It helps you remember who needs feeding, walking, grooming, litter cleaning, or training — and when.

  • It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnoses, prescriptions, or dosage guidance.
  • Walk tasks are time-based reminders only — no GPS tracking or route recording.
  • V1.0 has no social features, pet dating, breeding marketplace, or user-generated community.
  • Archiving a pet hides it from Today pills and stops new task occurrences; care logs keep a pet name snapshot for history.

Data Files (On Device)

V1.0 stores app content locally using files such as:

  • pets.json
  • care_tasks.json
  • task_occurrences.json
  • care_logs.json
  • Optional avatars under a private avatars/ directory

You can clear all local data from Settings, or uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device.
